Sophisticated Clinical Space for Lasting Change

Deep emotional understanding through relational insight-oriented therapy for individuals and couples.

In-Depth Therapeutic Exploration

Individual Therapy

My clinical approach is integrative, with a primary emphasis on insight-oriented and relational psychotherapy. I draw from contemporary psychodynamic, existential, and trauma-informed frameworks, while incorporating evidence-based strategies when clinically appropriate. While this work is informed by my expertise in clinical conceptualization which can include a formal diagnosis where it provides meaningful clarity for treatment, the primary goal is personal growth, meaning-making, and psychological depth.

I focus on helping clients understand the emotional, cognitive, and relational patterns that contribute to their current difficulties. Treatment emphasizes emotional processing and the development of reflective capacity, with the goal of fostering sustained psychological change rather than symptom management alone. I work collaboratively with clients and tailor interventions to their individual needs, readiness, and goals, particularly during periods of transition, identity development, grief, or persistent internal conflict.

Couples Therapy

My couple's work is grounded in an insight-oriented, relational framework. I conceptualize difficulties at the level of the relationship system, attending to interactional patterns, attachment dynamics, emotional regulation, and relational history. Treatment focuses on helping partners develop reflective capacity about their shared dynamics, understand emotional vulnerabilities that drive reactivity, and create space for new ways of relating. Interventions are tailored to the couple's needs and draw from contemporary psychodynamic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed principles.

Fees & Insurance Reimbursement

I want you to feel fully informed about the financial aspects of our work together. This section explains how therapy fees, cancellations, and insurance reimbursement policies are managed in my practice.

Payment Policy
Reimbursement Eligibility

I am a private-pay provider and do not bill insurance companies directly. All fees are due at the time of service. You will receive a professional invoice via Wise Business, which includes a secure link for payment by bank transfer or card.

As an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist, therapy services may be eligible for partial or full reimbursement under some private health insurance plans (e.g. Bupa, AXA Health, Vitality).

Provider Recognition

I am not a network provider. Out-of-network reimbursement for psychological therapy depends entirely on the client’s insurer and policy.

Cancellation Policy

Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments, will be charged at the full session rate. Please note that UK insurance providers generally do not reimburse for cancelled or missed appointments. These fees remain the personal responsibility of the client and must be paid via the Jane app.

Documentation

For each attended session, I will provide a detailed invoice through the Jane app. This includes my HCPC Registration Number, the relevant clinical service codes (e.g., "Individual Psychotherapy"), and any necessary diagnostic information required for your claim.

Key Considerations for Therapy Clients
  • GP referrals for therapy must be obtained before the first session to be eligible for insurance coverage.
  • UK insurance policies often differentiate between acute and chronic mental health conditions, which can impact the duration of cover.
  • Pre-existing conditions may be excluded from cover depending on your policy’s underwriting terms.
Questions to Ask Your Insurer
  • Does my policy provide coverage for out-of-network psychological therapy?
  • Is there a limit on the number of sessions or an annual financial cap for mental health services?
  • Do I need pre-authorisation or a specific referral code before starting treatment?
  • What is my policy excess, and how do I pay it?
  • Does my policy reimburse for late cancellations or missed sessions?
